Futsal

For those of you who have no idea what this is, Futsal is an exciting, fast-paced small sided version of football that is played across the world and is officially recognised by both FIFA and UEFA. It is a 5v5 game played on a hard surfaced court with a smaller, low bounce ball.  Futsal is played with touchline boundaries and without walls. Futsal places a large emphasis on technical skill in high pressure situations which can be translated into the outdoor game. The sport is a great skill developer as it demands quick reflexes, fast thinking and pin-point passing. It is played in all the continents of the world by over 100 countries with 12 million players.  Superstars such as Pele, Zico, Ronaldo, Messi and Kaka grew up playing the game and credit futsal with developing their skills. It is currently undergoing a major overhaul in this country with the newly formed National Futsal League and with huge investment by the FA. It is also features in the FIFA 20 video game. We train weekly indoors at Brackley Leisure Centre (excluding school holidays) and participate in local and regional tournaments, with the aim to be playing in a regular league for the 2020-21 season
