Our U13 Athletic team are delighted to support FareShare.
The team will wear the FareShare logo on our shirts for the next two season in a hope of raising funds and awareness for the great work that FareShare do. Supporting almost 1m people per week, as a charity FareShare redistribute surplus food to other charities and good causes to help some of the most vulnerable people in society.
Our players were inspired over the lock down period by the amazing work of Marcus Rashford, raising over £20m to help children in food poverty receive regular meals. Not only that but he went on to force a change in government policy meaning up to 1.3 million children will continue to receive meal vouchers during school holidays, and not just in term time in a step to ensure no child in the UK goes hungry.
Over the course of the season we will be holding some team fund raising events for FareShare and will proudly wear the logo on our shirts. We will also be showing support for the heroes in the NHS with a blue heart on our sleeves kindly added by our kit supplier 3Q Sports.
